This March 10, 2021, Spacefox is launching the second edition of its call for projects. The goal: to support the best scientific project up to 10,000 euros and put it forward in the eyes of the public.

Support and highlight the best scientific project

Building on the success of the first edition, Spacefox has decided to renew the event. The idea is as follows: invite the initiators of scientific projects to share their ideas. From March 10, 2021, budding or more experienced scientists will have until June 30, 2021 to submit to Spacefox a file presenting their project related to space exploration in the scientific field of their choice. Astronomy, Physics, Biology… all files will be studied. The winner of the competition will then receive 10,000 euros and an exhibition of his project to the public.

Xinetis: Space debris in the spotlight of the 1st edition of the scientific competition

At its launch, Spacefox organized a scientific competition which allowed young entrepreneurs to take advantage of aid of 3000 euros, in order to help them finance their scientific project related to the space field. In a few days, Spacefox received no less than a hundred fabulous projects, among which, the work of Clément Lingois and Anthony Dréano stood out. Their idea: to create a machine capable of picking up and deorbiting space debris.

The idea behind the project of these two students from ENSMA (École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d'Aérotechnique located in Poitiers) is to participate in the effort needed to clean up space by desorbing space debris around the Land and become real entrepreneurs through their own company: Xinetis.
